Having only joined the Fig Offices team in May this year, Gemma has hit the ground running in her new role as Centre Manager for Swindon. We sat down with Gemma to find out a little more about her.
What does your experience look like before having joined Fig Offices?
I have been in recruitment for the past 10 years working direct and for agencies but before my career in recruitment I managed services offices. During the past 10 years I have built up a strong local network and will be working hard to represent Fig in the Swindon market.
What is it that brought you to Fig Offices?
I love the Fig brand, it’s innovative, unique, quirky and exciting. We’ve had so many compliments on it and I am excited to be able to show it off across the area.
Fig are great at working in collaboration with their clients and truly understanding their needs. Its important to be able to support business’s and I think we do that beautifully.
Who makes up your team at Fig Offices Swindon?
Currently in Swindon there’s myself as Centre Manager and Alecia Kissell is the Client Services Assistant.
Centre Managers role: Our role is to oversee the day to day smooth running of the centre, sourcing new business, ensuring excellent customer service, financial responsibility (invoicing etc), conducting viewings, sending out proposals, negotiating deals, writing contracts, attending networking events to promote Fig, business development, to name but a few!
Customer Support Assistant role: To support the Centre Manager in the smooth running of the centre through daily checks, ensuring H & S documentation is up to date, meeting room bookings, invoicing, set up etc. Also the role involves creating a community feel throughout the centre, ensuring clients are receiving excellent customer service.
What does Swindon have to offer?
We are located just across the road from Swindon train station so we have fantastic transport links – only 40 mins from London and 25 mins to Bristol. Within 15 mins we can be on the M4 and the bus station is also adjacent to the building. Being in a central location is a great benefit to commuters and clients coming to visit Swindon.
On our ground floor we have some great areas for people to work from when perhaps they might be waiting for a meeting or a train. It’s a great spot to pop in and concentrate on getting some work done!
Views from the upper floors are amazing across Swindon from all sides.
