Offering a service that’s unique to you is something all of our Centre Managers strive to achieve. We sat down with Caroline, heading up of Coventry Fig Offices to find out a little more about her…
Firstly, what’s your experience prior to working at Fig Offices?
I graduated from Reading University with a degree in Education and Geography. I then worked as a Senior Manager in Primary Schools before stopping to have my son and daughter.
I was then able to transfer my management skills to a role as Business Centre Manger at City Spirit in Birmingham City Centre. When the centre closed down due to the owner/director redeveloping it to a residential property, I was fortunate to be able to start work at Fig Offices!
What is it you like most about Fig and what they provide for businesses?
I really enjoy my role as Centre Manger, it’s such varied and challenging work.
I like the ability to find out about our client’s business needs and how we can meet them and support them with the excellent services we provide. It is great to be part of a growing business in our own right too and to be able to relate to client’s future plans.
I’m also satisfied in being able to confidently tell clients/prospective customers that we are the best serviced office provider in the area, from our stunning new space to our high standard of customer services.
Who makes up your team?
Currently in Coventry there is myself as Centre Manager and Kayleigh Gleeson as Client Services Assistant.
Centre Managers role: Oversee day to day smooth running of the centre, sourcing new business, Ensuring excellent customer service, financial responsibility (invoicing etc), Conducting viewings, sending out proposals, negotiating deals, writing contracts, attending networking events to promote Fig & source new business, organise/suggest marketing strategies, Health and Safety responsibility, Managing IT and Telephony systems with IP-Xchange , point of contact for internal clients.
CSA role: Support CM in the smooth running of the centre through daily checks, ensuring H & S documentation is up to date, meeting room responsibility e.g. bookings, invoicing, set up etc. Creating a community feel throughout the centre, ensuring clients are receiving excellent customer service, responding to client’s needs. Networking to promote Fig Office.
What does the Fig Office in Coventry have to offer businesses?
Friars House is located opposite the Train Station and adjacent to the ring road, so is superbly located to access the Midlands transport infrastructure.
All our offices are external facing and have amazing huge windows which give great views across the city. The building is also locally referred to as ‘The big blue glass building’!
